横田基地における正月三が日の飛行停止について

横田基地に関する東京都と周辺市町連絡協議会から、在日米軍横田基地第３７４空輸航空団司令官あてに「横田基地における正月三が日の飛行停止について」の要請書が１２月１３日に出されています。ほぼ同文の要請書が北関東防衛局長と　横田防衛事務所長へも出されています。武蔵村山市のＨＰには、文書をスキャナーで読み込んだＰＤＦがのっていて、テキストの抽出は不可能。瑞穂町のＨＰのＰＤＦから第３７４空輸航空団司令官あての文書と英訳をコピーしました。

横田基地における正月三が日の飛行停止について（要請）
あと３週間ほどで平成２３年の正月を迎えようとしています。正月は私たち
日本人にとって一年の門出を祝う大切な時期であり、騒音や事故の不安のない
穏やかな正月を家族そろって過ごしたいと、誰もが心から願っています。
特に、正月三が日は特別な日であり、この間の飛行は周辺の住民感情に非常
に大きな影響を与えることとなります。
これまでも、三が日のうち１日及び２日の飛行については、一定の配慮がな
されていると考えております。
貴職におかれましては、このような対応措置を継続・発展させ、横田基地に
おける明年の正月三が日の飛行を停止するよう要請します。

Request for Flight Refrain at the Yokota Air Base during Jan. 1-3, 2011
The New Year will be upon us in just a few weeks. For Japanese people, the New Year
holiday period is an important time to welcome a year ahead. The nearby residents of
the Yokota Air Base strongly desire to celebrate the New Year peacefully with their
families, without aircraft noise and anxiety about air accidents.
The first three days of the New Year are very special days for Japanese people.
Therefore, flights during the period may invite a worsen sentiment on the U.S. Forces
Japan among nearby residents.
Up till now, we understand that the U.S. Forces Japan has given serious consideration
on the flight operation on January 1 and 2 among the first three days on January in
recent years.
We request you to refrain from any flight at the Yokota Air Base during the first three
days of the New Year by continuing and developing your measures.
