横田C-130J １号機製造中

横田基地公式ウェブサイト５月２６日付けニュースによると・・・

現在のＣ－１３０Ｈに替わり配備される予定のＣ－１３０Ｊの１号機がジョージア州マリエッタにあるロッキード・マーチン社の航空機工場で製造中。

２０１６年第４クオーター末に横田基地に納入される予定。

Ｃ－１３０Ｊはハーキュリーズの最新バージョンで、これまでのH型に比べ格段に性能が向上しているとのことです。

First Yokota C-130J takes shape

Wings were recently installed on the first C-130J Super Hercules assigned to Yokota Air Base, Japan, at the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility in Marietta, which is home to the C-130 production line.

The 374th Airlift Wing at Yokota Air Base, Japan, is scheduled to receive its first C-130J  by the end of 4th quarter 2016.

Yokota AB will receive 14 C-130Js as it recapitalizes its existing C-130H fleet, which are operated by the 374th Airlift Wing.

The C-130J is the latest version of the Hercules, entering the inventory in February 1999. The aircraft has a six-bladed composite propeller coupled to a Rolls-Royce AE2100D3 turbo engine and brings substantial performance improvements over the previous H model.

横田基地には　Ｃ－１３０Ｈ　が１４機配備されていますが、どこかへ出かけてたりして、なかなか全部はそろいません。今朝は１２機いました。

この左側にあと３機いました。

夕方は３機編隊で、急旋回、タッチアンドゴーなどの訓練をしていました。
